Wild Horse Shangri La
Wild stallion with two mares and a baby.

I could not believe how calm they were, knowing I was but a hundred yards away, watching from a bank high above them. They drank their fill and grazed leisurely for a good five or ten minutes before heading up into the trees.
I can only speculate that, living near a fairly well-traveled road, they must be more accustomed to the sound of an idling engine than some other wild horses would be.
At first, the stallion and mare kept the foal between them, but as they became more at ease, allowed the little guy to move around more openly.
