Watching Out For Mom

She appeared to be limping slightly, and the younger horse placed itself between her and me.
They made little effort to run away, but began moving away with purpose. Rather than frighten them further, and maybe cause the injury to worsen, I drove on, hoping the laming is temporary and not too serious.
There was a larger band of horses nearby, and I would expect them to reunite, when the lady recovers sufficiently to keep up with the rest.
