On the first day of December, I was privileged to follow the movement of a fair-sized herd of ranch horses to their winter range. An exciting photo op, and I was pleased with my images …….

However, given some 500 frames, they started to seem mundane, and I found only a handful worth processing – at the time.

A few days ago, with fresh powder on the ground, we got that winter pink sky that I look forward to, this time of year.
