Ornamental Oddity

Along my route through a remote canyon, an old structure has stood, being nothing but abandoned cement for as long as I have been alive. I have passed by it innumerable times—but had never been curious enough to climb the steep bank up to it – until today.

About ninety-nine percent of the time, I go out shooting alone. 99% of the time, I am happy as can be with that statistic. Exceptional situations almost exclusively involve vehicular difficulty …. The other exception is when I come across things like this and wish somebody else were there to see it, too!

As found. And yes, that sure looks like a bullet hole to me … interesting choice for target practice, and I can’t help wondering how long it has been hanging there?!

We have had snow recently – I wonder what kind of glue is holding that glitter on?
