Roses For The Teacher

“The Teacherage”, constructed of salvaged railroad ties (a common building material here) was a residence provided to the town’ s schoolteacher, as part of her salary.

Although the yard is not maintained, those hardy yellow “pioneer roses” make their presence known for a few weeks every year.
